Easy Inspiration Photographer of the month: Dawson Renaud

“I started photographing landscapes a few years ago, after frequently getting up to watch the sunrise on the east coast. I wanted a better way to capture photos than using my phone, so I purchased a camera.
Landscape photography has always been an outlet for me, and a way to show the beauty of living in Maine, and it has brought me to many amazing places. Having a reliable vehicle that can bring me anywhere is important, and that’s why I really enjoyed having the newly redesigned Honda Ridgeline for a couple of days. It has plenty of storage space in the bed of the truck, and a locked compartment beneath the bed that can store more valuable gear, such as a tripod or even my camera bag. Inside the truck, a spacious layout and integration with Apple CarPlay allowed me to have my GPS up on the navigation screen, perfect for driving and navigating along the coast of Maine. Though during the time I had the Ridgeline I was plagued with some cloudy weather, I was able to get to Mother’s Beach in Kennebunk for a fantastic sunset and snag some great photos as the sun dipped below the horizon. Comfort is always important in my vehicle, as most of my trips for landscape photography are before the sun rises or after the sun sets.
Currently, I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer and filmmaker based out of Southern Maine. I have traveled across the United States for various photography projects, and have been featured by the Maine, Colorado, and Alaska tourism departments for landscape work. I have always enjoyed getting outside and capturing beautiful moments, and love getting up for sunrise, because not many others have the dedication to do so.
